Dressing Up for Valentines Day

Ok- as I’m writing this on December 29th, stores are already pumping out Valentines Day stuff! (Specifically, CVS Pharmacy has allll the V-day candy and teddy bears already up on their shelves). Everyday should be like Valentines day with you S/O, but if there is a day to go all out- then so be it. Whether you’re staying in or going out, read on for a variety of pieces to celebrate the day of luuuv.

Lulus, Mock-Neck Maxi Dress in Wine, $77

This dress! Definitely something for a fancier Valentines date night, but you could also just snag it to have it…I mean…wow. It looks high end while being in the affordable range. It would also be perfect for a late summer or fall wedding, or a holiday party.

Lulus, Sexy Black Dress, $44

Opt for a LBD this Valentines Day- and in particular this one from Lulus. The plunging neckline is perfectly cut so that it shows some cleavage and is definitely sexy, but respectable at the same time.

Camila Coelho, Kristen Top, $160

For those who don’t want to wear a dress, this bold red satin crop top is the perfect option. The cropped length and open back gives it an air of risqué, and you can pair it with the matching skirt or it would look killer with some slowly black pants.

For Love & Lemons, Argent Wrap Blouse, $141

How stunning is this top?! This creamy color on satin fabric reminds me of melting milk chocolate- super smooth and silky. It’s a step above the rest of the peasant-style tops, and you can wrap the bow in the front or back.

Michael Costello, Sunny Mini Dress, $248

This feminine one-shouldered dress is perfect for your big Valentines Day date, but it will also double perfectly for a spring or summer wedding. Pair it with nude heels and simple gold jewelry.

Nasty Gal, Grow the Extra Mile Floral Jacquard Dress, $35

This high neck and long sleeved floral jacquard dress is perfect for those living in cooler climates. Pair it with black tights and black pumps or ankle boots to make the ‘fit even better for the winter weather.

Princess Polly, Star Power Mini Dress, $57

This dress looks super boring and honestly is kind of boring, but I haven’t seen any other long sleeve, cowl neck, slip dresses, and for whatever reason, I like it. However I’d pair it with pumps and not heeled sandals like the model has on, but that’s just me.

Missguided, White Poplin Puff Sleeve Milkmaid Dress, $25

Another plain dress, and with a nod to summer, but if you’re looking for something simple that you can dress up with accessories and wear it at other points in the year, this is a perfect option.
