There is soooo much clothing out there. In fact it contributes an insane amount to the decline of our environment. If you’re looking for a cute closet but don’t want to be conscious of how big your closet is, here are 10 closet staples that won’t go out of style.

Madewell, Classic Straight Jeans in Nearwood Wash, $128
Bluejeans: In my opinion, there is no better jean than the Madewell jean. They fit so well! They have a little bit of stretch, they don’t slide down your waist/butt, and they’re durable. Hopefully their quality continues to remain great for years to come, because these babies are perfect and worth the price!

Madewell, Tomboy Straight Jeans in Lunar Wash, $128
Black jeans: Add a pair of black jeans to your wardrobe. They go with literally anything and can easily be dressed up or down.

Veja, Campo Sneaker, $145
Neutral sneaker: Sneakers aren’t just for exercise. You’ll thank me later for telling you to have a pair of neutral sneakers in your closet. These can be worn with jeans, leggings joggers, skirts, dresses….really anything! They’ll definitely make a skirt or dress more casual- but sometimes that is the look you’re going for! Plus, you can comfortably walk long distances and look cute at the same time.

Adelante, The Cordoba, $150
Brown leather sandals: You haaaaave to have a pair of these. They are a step in between casual and dressing up. There are so many different styles of brown leather sandals you could get, so you will definitely find a pair that suits you!

Barbour, Classic Beadnell Waxed Cotton Jacket, $415
An all-seasons jacket: So a Barbour jacket is definitely not everyone’s style, but hear me out. This is a 4-season jacket. I’ve got this in the olive color and what a good investment it has been. (The color lightens as you wear it, it won’t be as dark as the image). The amount of times I’ve worn it is nutty, it is great quality, and it looks good with so many outfits. I also don’t feel stupid wearing it in the summer- like this thing seriously is a year round gem.

Madewell, The Flap Convertible Crossbody Bag, $138
Crossbody bag: I personally feel like having 1 of each- brown and black, are closet staples, but if you can only choose one, then go with your preference. Crossbody bags are perfect when you don’t want to bring a whole tote/purse but your pockets won’t cut it.

Adelante, The Granada, $250
Ankle boots: Ankle boots have been popular for a while now. Brown leather ankle boots are perfect for moderately dressing up an outfit, and depending on the outfit, black ankle boots can really help turn the notch up. If you want something super fun and funky, faux snake skin ones are the way to go.

Madewell, Northside Vintage Tee, $16
A versatile layer: Under a jacket, or an unbuttoned flannel, cardigan, blah, blah- having a solid colored white and/or black top in your closet is a must.

Express, Supersoft Notch Collar One Button Blazer, $128
Blazer: You don’t have to be working in a skyscraper to have a use for a blazer. Blazers are a great way to dress up a simple top and pants. Yes, jeans included! Pop on a blazer over your versatile layer, some straight leg or skinny jeans, and some ankle booties.

French Connection, Whisper High Neck Dress, $148
LBD: You didn’t think I’d complete this post without an LBD, right? The LBD has taken many forms, and you can find one for work, casual, or a night out. This style by FCUK is perfect for work, and even out for post-work drinks.
So true! Love these ❤
